What I Ate Wednesday #33
Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week! Things have been crazy for me, like always! It’s a good thing I hate being bored! I would rather have too much to do than not enough! Am I crazy?!
I wanted to send a special “Happy Birthday” to Samantha! Yesterday was her 20th birthday and since I didn’t post, I thought I would extend her celebration a day and give her a shout out! Make sure to stop over and wish her a happy birthday!
This week’s WIAW post is not going to be my meals I ate yesterday (Tuesday) like normal. This week I am going to share with you what I ate last Friday. Why last Friday? Well, I shared a pictured on IG of one of my meals last week with a caption that said, “No meat on Friday’s means I get to eat breakfast all day! ” That caption generated some questions about what my “purpose was” behind not eating meat on Friday’s. It’s not something crazy I created in my mind, although maybe we can start calling Lent the new Friday trend? I am Catholic and we are now in the Lenten season, which means no meat on Friday’s! So, for those who questioned how I am getting my protein in, here it is! You will also notice that I did not have ANY kabocha squash…actually I haven’t had any in a week! I know, you are thinking I am sick, but I’m not! I wanted to try and add a little variety to my veggies….and that I did! I am now loving roasted summer squash and green beans! PLUS I tried a new veggie…..What is it?! You will see! I hope you enjoy!
Meal #1
Before my workout I had this amazing bar and an apple! I HIGHLY recommend trying it! It tastes like a PB cup!
Meal #2
Yes, reusing this picture! Same smoothie as always because it’s my favorite! Frozen cherries, banana, coconut milk and half a scoop of whey protein! Yum!!
Meal #3
Egg white omelet, sauteed shaved brussels sprouts, apple sliced and 2tbs sunflower seed butter…my favorite!
Meal #4
Cranberry ‘stuffing’ with 2 runny eggs, roasted brussels sprouts and avocado
Meal #5
Baked cajun salmon, green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, summer squash, green beans and bok choy…my new veggie! Have you tried bok choy before? It is delicious!! I love it!
Meal #6
And my nightly ritual…..PB Casein mixed with greek yogurt/ricotta and some almond butter! I think I might eat this for the rest of my life!
So, how many grams of protein did I get in for the day?
160g Not too shabby for not eating any meat! (Thank goodness for fish!)
