What I Ate Wednesday #32

Happy Wednesday! I hope you have had a great start to your week! Only 2 more days until the weekend! Don’t you love how quickly the week goes by when you have a 4 day work week?! Like every Wednesday it is time to share some food love! But before we jump into that I wanted to take a moment and brag about my amazing boyfriend for a second! (feel free to skip this part if you don’t care! lol) I don’t mention him much on the blog because, well, he is a very low key guy. So other than a few mentions here and there about what he thought about a recipe or maybe a quick blurb about what we did over the weekend, I don’t say much. (For those of you who follow me on instagram, you saw this yesterday, so I apologize :) ) Yesterday afternoon my doorbell rang. I wasn’t expecting anything and normally don’t answer the door when I hear the ring because the kids in my neighborhood like to run around and ring doorbells for fun after school. But yesterday it was raining, so I knew it wasn’t them. I went to the door and a man was there with this……….

(Pardon my hair…..I had just come in from the rain)

6 dozen purple tulip!!!! WOW!!! Purple tulips are my absolute favorite flower! But the best part was this…….

A CARD!! Why was I so shocked?! Because he never sends cards with flowers! I think in the almost 3yrs we have been together I have maybe received 3 cards with my flowers! So, I just wanted to give a little shout out to my totally amazing boyfriend (thanks love!) AND let you know that despite how little I mention him (because I have received many emails asking about him) that he is such a great person and I feel blessed to have him in my life! :)

OK, so let move passed the mushy stuff and talk about some FOOD!!! Last night I was talking to my sister and she asked me if today’s WIAW post was going to be just as horrible as last weeks! hahaha Since all I showed you was kabocha and brussels sprouts! ;) Well, rest assured that I have added a few more veggies into my meals….but the kabocha is still standing firm! Also, I am happy to report that the 2 most recent kabocha that I roasted tasted amazing! So, I guess the batch previous to that was just bad? I hope you enjoy today’s meals! :)

Before the gym I had this amazing bar with a banana (not pictured)

Meal #2

After my workout (Shoulders & Abs) I had this Cherry Banana shake with coconut milk and vanilla whey (Yippee for remembering to take a picture this week…..although this is when it was frozen before I left for the gym!)

Meal #3

It’s Back!! Next meal was kabocha ;) , an egg and egg white omelet with low sodium Muenster cheese, apple slices (An Opal apple? Has anyone ever heard of that kind? It was DELICIOUS!) and some Steel’s ketchup for my eggs!

Meal #4

OK, I know this looks nasty but it was soooo yummy! My appetite has been weird the last few days and one day I am starving and the next I barely want anything to eat. So when meal time rolled around again I threw this bad boy together because I wasn’t starving: My paleo porridge with extra egg whites, kabocha, cinnamon and sunflower seed butter all mixed in! AMAZING!! :)

Meal #5

Dinner was baked herb chicken with a side of kabocha (shocker), steamed broccol and summer squash (SEE!!! different veggies!), cranberries and some goat cheese! (I love the combination of herb chicken, goat cheese and cranberries)

Meal #6

I ended my night with my favorite snack of greek yogurt mixed with casein (this week vanilla), topped with almond butter and cacao nibs!

I also drank 120oz of water throughout the day and 1 glass of peppermint mocha tea (since I always forget to post my liquid!)

Sooooo…..big change from last week?? I mean, I know I had kabocha at all 3 of my main meals, BUT no brussels and I added in a few new veggies! (You all probably think I don’t ever eat any other veggies, but I actually really do! haha)

Sister-Love, do you approve? ;)
