Prepping Your Kitchen

Stocking Your Kitchen 1A

Happy Wednesday! ?

In a survey I sent on in my newsletter, I asked people to send in any question they had! One reader had this question, “I am moving and have never really been much of a cook. What are some basic tools I can buy to set up my kitchen so I am prepared to make healthy recipes?”

Great Question! Here are some basic items that every kitchen should have:

  • High Quality Knives
  • Measuring Cups (small and large)
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Cutting Boards
  • Non Stick Skillet
  • Saute Pan with Lid
  • High Powered Blender
  • Tongs
  • Vegetable Peeler
  • Glassware baking dishes
  • Mixing bowls
  • Colander
  • Spatula
  • Sauce Pan
  • Stock Pot
  • Baking Pans
  • Linens
  • Oven Mitt
  • Dishtowels

Once you are comfortable with these tools and basic recipes, you can expand your ‘tool cabinet’ based on new dishes you might create or nifty kitchen gadgets you might like to try! (I admit, I have a small obsession with kitchen gadgets! I like to use THIS ONE to make my perfect pancakes! )

Tell, me! What are some of your favorite “every day must have” kitchen tools?

**Next week we will take a look at some of the essential basic cooking items to have on hand!
