Mizuno Wave Rider 18 Review

Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a great week! :) Today’s post is a little bit of a surprise, but I wanted to share this amazing sneaker with you! :) It’s clear that we have established my absolute LOVE of sneakers by now! Especially the Mizuno brand! Mizuno is the only sneaker that I have ever run a marathon in. Any runs over 6 miles are always done in my Mizunos. So of course when Mizuno reached out to me to test out the new Wave Rider 18 I was ecstatic!

I never know what color the sneakers will be when they are being sent, but when I opened the box I was in love with the black/gray/mint color! The womens sneaker also comes in a blue and purple color, so any would have been a great surprise!

The first thing I noticed about the sneaker was how light it was.! I was small ankles so I need to make sure my shoe is light. I put them on for my first run on Sunday and they were amazing!

I did an easy 10k and my feet felt great! The sneaker was light, supportive, the mesh made them very breathable and they gave my tons of comfort! The support in the upper part of the shoe and outer sole gave them a feeling of durability too. They are definitely a shoe that I could wear on a daily run.

Although this sneaker is designed for a neutral runner (I am stability) I had no issues with them, which was great! I know Mizuno has been working very hard on making their sneaker styles comfortable and supportive for a wider variety of people! But for all of my neutral runners out there….this sneaker would definitely hit the ‘sweet spot’ for you!

And for all my non runners these are still perfect for you too! I wore them to work on an 8 hour training day and to the gym for several works (weights and cardio) and had amazing support and comfort every time! I have never ‘run’ (hehe) into a bad pair of Mizunos yet! ;)
